Steffen, the winner of the RITA Award, the Wish Award and the National
Readers Choice Award has always felt blessed to have a great
imagination,
but she assumed writers had to live in New York or California.
Today she is the proud author of more than 30 published novels, and she didn't have to leave the midwest to do it. Her titles have appeared on bestseller lists such as USA TODAY, the NEW YORK TIMES, Barnes and Noble, Waldenbooks, and others. Her books have been translated into a dozen languages. CHILD OF HER DREAMS, one of her earliest books has been reissued. Recently, DAY BY DAY became a book on tape. Sandra
grew up in a large, close-knit family. In keeping with this tradition,
