Welcome to
Orchard Hill…
Where love
grows…
The town of Orchard
HIll is fictitious, but if it were on a map, it
would be located between Lansing and Kalamazoo in my beloved home state
of Michigan. With is shorelines and beaches, vineyards and
orchards, forests and farmland, hills, lakes and marshes, Michigan is
breathtakingly beautiful. What makes it special is the same thing
that makes every state in this incredible country of ours
special: the people who came before us, the people who've held on
through thick and thin, and those who've moved on to new horizons while
holding home in their hearts...
Orchard
Hill has more than 20,
000 residents. College students account for nearly half of that
number and live near campus across the river. The other side of
town belongs to people with deep roots and long memories. This is
Madeline Sullivan's side...
When Madeline's
fiancé died as a result of a tragic motorcycle
accident, she believed she would lead a quiet life surrounded by her
friends and family in her hometown. But then she went in search
of the man who received Aaron's heart. Finding Riley Merrick was
a sonic boom. He certainly made her heart beat faster!
Just
past the City Limit sign
the land turns hilly. The first hill is the old train
depot. The Old Stone Inn sits on the second hill.
Innkeeper Summer
Matthews, Madeline's best friend, didn't grow up in
Orchard Hill. In this close-knit community, Summer is known as
the keeper of secrets. The biggest secret she keeps is her own,
for Summer isn't her real name. Nothing can remain a secret
forever, especially when world-renowned journalist Kyle Merrick comes
to Orchard Hill for his brother's wedding...
Beyond
the Old Stone Inn the
orchards begin.
The first orchard is home to
Madeline's older brothers: Marsh,
Reed and Noah. These three brawny bachelors have never been
afraid to strut their stuff. Until one baby boy left on their
doorstep brings them to their knees and sends each prospective father
scrambling to find a woman from his past. Noah confronts Lacey
Andrews, Reed searches for Delilah Prescott and Marsh hires a private
investigator to locate Julia Donohue, who seems to have disappeared off
the face of the planet...
Across
the river near the college is Star's Coffee Shop.
Owner of the coffee
house, single mother Star Blanchard discovers that there are a few bad
apples in Orchard Hill. When her brother is accused of a crime he
didn't commit, she must turn to a man who left town twelve years ago...
And there's Star's older sister, and a
new nurse practitioner, and a woman whisked to town for safekeeping by
a man who doesn't believe he deserves to keep anyone safe...
As
you can see, this series will be a long-running one. I leave you
for now with a heartfelt welcome to my books, stories for everyone who
believes or longs to believe in happy endings. We have to
believe. Good things are going to happen. They really are.
Welcome
to my world.
